Description: This jutsu lets the user quickly switch places with another nearby object, such as a plant (normally a section of a log), an animal, or even another person within reach using the Body Flicker Technique, the moment an attack hits. This creates an optical illusion, making the enemy think the attack was successful. The user can then use this confusion to escape or launch a counter-attack. Exploding tags can be attached to the replacement for an added surprise.

The anime has a number of other objects being used for this jutsu, such as a boulder, mud, a scarecrow, and even a large rolled-up carpet. These items are usually nowhere in sight, suggesting that they are merely gags meant to lighten up the situation and not an actual part of the jutsu. Additionally, the normal practice of switching places with a section of log is done in several places that have no such thing anywhere nearby.

This jutsu allows the user to transform either themselves or another object into the appearance of another person, animal, or object. This is one of the basic jutsu taught at the Konohagakure Ninja Academy, and most shinobi know this jutsu. The transformation technique is considered to be among the more difficult E-ranked techniques, since it requires constant emission of chakra while mentally maintaining the form. On top of that, the user would be, most likely, interacting with the environment. This puts mental strain on an inexperienced ninja. Thus the best way to determine if it is indeed a transformation is to cause this strain upon the user; though this is of course not always successful.

Tsunade of the Sannin possesses a more advanced version of the Transformation Technique, where she disguises her 50-year-old self as younger versions of herself. Her technique is unique as it seems to be permanent, nor does she need to exert herself to maintain it for a long time, whereas a normal transformation would be dispelled when the user is injured. This implies that the form is a physical transformation and that it only breaks when Tsunade is low on chakra. Kagerō has also shown such a transformation, warping her appearance into a grotesque, hunchback man.

This jutsu is a high-speed movement technique, allowing a ninja to move short to long distances at an almost untraceable speed.Naruto chapter 395, page 09 To an observer, it appears as if the user has teleported. A puff of smoke is occasionally used to disguise the user's movements. It is accomplished by using chakra to temporarily vitalise the body and move at extreme speeds. The amount of chakra required depends on the overall distance and elevation between the user and the intended destination. Shisui Uchiha was feared as "Shisui of the Body Flicker" (瞬身のシスイ, Shunshin no Shisui), likely referring to this technique.

Description: A technique where chakra kneaded inside the body is converted into fire, and expelled from the mouth in a massive orb of roaring flame. The scope of the attack is altered by controlling the volume of chakra that is mustered. The released flames will engulf their target, and leave a crater on the ground's surface. The fireball is normally blown through a ring made by the thumb and index finger of the user. However, Sasuke and Itachi are seen doing this technique without making a ring over their mouth.

According to Kakashi Hatake (in the anime Part II), the Fire Release: Great Fireball Technique was originally created by the Uchiha clan, becoming one of their favorite moves with which they became very adept. The Uchiha clan also uses the Fire Release: Great Fireball Technique as a "coming of age" technique. This technique apparently requires more than average chakra reserves and most Genin should not be able to do this technique.

Description: A defensive technique that involves controlling the entire radius within one's arm length, creating a spherical shield around oneself. More experienced fighters can even extend the range with minimal lengths by using air pressure. However, a Seikuken with a larger radius is not necessarily better. The Seikūken can only be erected with a calm mind (i.e. jumping around or moving will make it difficult). If one is not calm, it would be near impossible for him or her to erect the Seikūken. Kyo shows that he is able to overcome this limitation by making Seikūken an instinctive reaction.

Description: The antithesis to the original Seikuken. Instead of extending the radius of the Seikūken, Ryuusei Seikuken turns that principle inward, reducing it to a thin layer above the skin to dodge the opponent's attacks at the last possible moment. This principle is necessary because dodging at the final moment before an attack hits saves time and energy. An absolutely calm mind is necessary to use it, as even a slight degree of emotion will disrupt the technique.
There are 3 levels in Ryuusei Seikūken. These levels could also be thought of as steps in a sequence to the next level:
1. Read the opponent's flow.
1. Combine the opponent's movements with your own.
1. Overpower the opponent by anticipating his moves and use his flow against him before he even thinks of it.

The key is to mount an offense in between an opponent's attacks, which requires a great deal of precision and timing.

Description: ShiShi Rendan is a Taijutsu technique developed by Uchiha Sasuke after he used his Sharingan to copy the movements of fellow Leaf ninja Rock Lee. Sasuke first uses the Konoha Kage Buyou to manuever his opponent in a vulnerable aerial position. While shadowing his opponent, Sasuke will attempt to strike them from a vulnerable angle. If he is unable to make a clean strike, he will strike anyway as a feint, to draw his target's attention and defense to one area. He can then strike the undefended area and begin knocking them downwards towards the ground. As the enemy falls back to the earth, Sasuke will deftly rotate his body around to deliver a full force kick to their chest.

The normal Bunshin technique creates a copy of the ninja that lacks any substance. The Kage Bunshin distributes the ninja's chakra evenly among the clones and creates a real copy with form and substance. The clone itself can also utilize any jutsu the original ninja knows. When the clone finally disperses, any new knowledge it has gained is passed back to the original ninja and any additional clones. This makes Kage Bunshin an excellent training method if the ninja has the chakra capacity and stamina to maintain the Kage Bunshins for an extended period of time. This allows the ninja to essentially reduce the time it takes to train and learn with each clone added. This is especially true when used with Tajuu Kage Bunshin.

When the fire of Jiraiya's katon hits the oil, it ignites into a huge flaming fireball.

Naruto also used a variation of this technique in conjunction with Gamabunta. Unfortunately because Naruto could not use Katon at the time, he had to use an explosive note to ignite the oil.

As genjutsu is initially used to confuse the enemy, this technique, which sends it right back to its caster, deals a high amount of mental damage, more than anything else.

Description: Apparently unique to Kyoshiro Uchiha, this technique allows the user to control the mind of their opponent. It was a dōjutsu of the highest class, as the victim doesn't even realize they are being manipulated. This jutsu allows the user to enter into the minds of others and implant false thoughts to control them. The unfortunate draw back to this technique is that once the target has realized they are being afected then it will no longer work on them. Also the technique itself cannnot be used more than twice in one day and for no more than 10 minutes(three posts).
